The end of our project

We held a lovely event on Saturday 23rd November at St Aidan's Church to celebrate the finalisation of the Manor Memories project.  Almost all the people interviewed for the project attended, along with some of the people who had attended the events.  We watched the DVD which was extremely well-received, and there were copies for everybody, along with the Manor Memories booklet and walking trail.  Afterwards we enjoyed a chat over a delicious buffet from the Rhubarb Shed Cafe.

It has been a pleasure to oversee the project, and to talk to so many local people about their memories.  They had some wonderful stories to tell.  It's been hard work but well worth the effort.  Thank you to everybody who took part and/or helped to make it possible.

Manor Memories Finale

The project is coming to an end and we are having our final get-together at St Aidan's on Saturday 23rd November at 2pm.  We'll be watching the DVD and there will be copies of that, the booklet and the walking trail available.  There will also be an afternoon tea buffet.  Anyone is welcome to come but please email on This email address is being protected from spambots. What happens now?

So all the events have taken place.  We've had some brilliant talks and some lovely trips out.  People have been interviewed and photographs taken.  So what happens now?  Well, we're now busy putting together the Manor Memories DVD and accompanying booklet, finalising the Manor Memories walking trail and preparing packs for the local schools.  All being well, everything will be ready for the beginning of November and we hope to get everybody together to watch the DVD then.
